DeLand Fire Department promotes three to fire engineer

The department said Trent Sanders (hired April 2020) is a certified paramedic and has completed technical rescue training; Josh Brown (hired 2021) is a certified paramedic and pump operator pursuing rescue specialist and fire officer certifications; and Justin Pacifico (hired 2021) is a certified paramedic who has completed multiple technician and truck company operations courses and is nearing rescue specialist certification.
Mayor and commissioners recognized the three firefighters and invited family members forward for badge pinning during the meeting.
