Committee members heard a 30‑minute presentation from local founders of the Downtown Allentown Alliance, who described plans for a public‑private nonprofit to manage downtown activation, hospitality and marketing. "This is probably one of the most exciting and well thought out proposals we're coming to you to discuss," said Ms. Kistler of the Department of Community and Economic Development, introducing the proposal and its background.
