Hooksett Planning Board appoints chair and vice chair, adopts rules of procedure; minutes tabled

The Hooksett Planning Board on July 21 made several procedural decisions and votes.

Christos Tomac was appointed chair by motion of Jim Sullivan, seconded by Sheena Gilbert; members voted in favor by voice vote. Michael Summers was appointed vice chair by motion, seconded and approved by voice vote.

The board considered approval of minutes from the June 16, 2025 meeting. Jared Williams moved to approve the minutes; because several members said they had not participated in the prior meeting the board voted to table the motion to approve the June 16 minutes. The motion to table was made by Jim Sullivan, seconded by Jared Williams, and approved by voice vote.

Later in the meeting the board voted to consent to its current rules of procedure. Jim Sullivan moved to adopt; Paul Scarpetti seconded. The board approved the motion by voice vote. Members said they plan to return with specific suggested language later, including a proposed conceptual‑presentation notice and a change to the order of hearings so the planner's report appears first in jurisdiction acceptance discussions.
