Parks Tacoma lists summer pool hours, Shakespeare in the Park and community festivals

Parks Tacoma announced that two outdoor public pools — Candle Pool and Stewart Heights Pool — are open until Labor Day, with adult lap swims in the morning priced at $5. For other hours the broadcast listed fees as free for children ages 4 and under, $8 for youth ages 5–17 and $10 for adults.
Parks Tacoma also invited families to free Shakespeare in the Park performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in August at parks across Tacoma, noting the production will feature South Sound performers and directing residents to parkstacoma.gov/events/shakespeare for dates and locations.
The broadcast highlighted the Mosaic Arts and Cultural Festival at Wright Park in July, a free two-day community event featuring traditional dance, music, food trucks and nearly 100 vendor booths. The segment said Mosaic marks its 36th year and runs from noon until 7 p.m. on the July dates referenced in the broadcast.
Parks Tacoma also announced free tidepool walk programs on July 23 at Titlow Beach from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and on Aug. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., advising participants to wear protective shoes and bring water; registration was not required.
