Manaway council to consider renewing IT contract with Keller Technologies; decision tabled to August

The Manaway Town Council discussed whether to continue an IT services agreement with Keller Technologies on July 17 and asked staff to bring a written contract to the August meeting for approval.
Council members said Keith Keller has provided IT support to Manaway since the town’s cyber grant and that the grant no longer covers his services. Keller’s proposed fee was discussed as roughly $300 per month (about $3,600 per year). Council members said keeping a contractor under a monthly agreement avoids higher per-visit charges.
Members also discussed upcoming state privacy requirements that take effect in December and said Keller could help the town prepare the required privacy statement and other compliance tasks. The council directed staff to request the written contract and pricing and to include the item on the August agenda for formal consideration.
No formal approval was recorded at the July meeting. Staff said they would forward the contract information to council members before the next meeting so members can review terms and pricing.
