Canfield City Council approved an ordinance authorizing the replat of Mahoning County Career and Technical Center (MCCTC) Plat No. 1 to create a separate parcel for a new wellness center on North Palmyra Road.
Council member Graham read and moved the ordinance approving the replat; council seconded the motion and voted in favor. City legal and planning staff explained the replat was intended to place the wellness center on its own parcel so utilities and Columbia Gas hookups can be billed separately and so the building and associated infrastructure will be distinct for development and taxation purposes.
Council conducted a brief discussion with staff confirming the replat’s purpose and the utility separations. No public comments were recorded on the replat during the meeting. The ordinance was adopted after council dispensed with full reading as allowed by the city charter.
