Worcester County board approves Hang 10 restaurant liquor license in Snow Hill

The Worcester County Board of License Commissioners on an uncontested vote approved a Class B beer, wine and liquor seven‑day license for Hang 10, a full‑service restaurant proposed for 104 West Green Street in Snow Hill.

The applicant, Julie Wallace, testified she will operate a full‑service ramen and rice‑bowl restaurant and said servers will be certified under the county’s TAM training program. "Yes. Absolutely," Wallace said when asked whether she understood laws on serving minors and the need for server certification.

Commissioners said the application included a resident agent, required insurance and signatures on the license application, and a floor plan showing 30 seats on the first floor and 37 seats upstairs. The board accepted a marked floor plan as an exhibit showing the downstairs and upstairs seating and a proposed entertainment area.

The board discussed proposed entertainment and clarified that the applicant sought to allow two pieces (two entertainers) or karaoke two nights per week, with the board noting that a singer would count as one piece. The motion approving the license included conditions: no off‑sale of alcoholic beverages and restrictions on the type of entertainment (no disc jockey). Commissioners also reminded the applicants that any changes to the licensed premises or hours of entertainment require returning to the board with an amended application.

Commissioner Pusey moved to approve the application; a fellow commissioner seconded the motion and the board granted the license. Commissioners wished the applicants luck as the hearing concluded.
