Resident praises Collin County agencies and sheriff during public comment

Lyke, who identified her address in the early 1980s as 130 Squirrel Ridge, Texas, thanked county animal control for responding to stray dogs and wildlife (including a skunk and a snake), and she thanked the Collin County Sheriff’s Department for collecting illegally dumped items from ditches and for offering a house-watch service for residents outside city limits. She specifically praised Commissioner Cheryl Williams of Precinct 2 for her support of the sheriff’s office and thanked Sheriff John Skinner for inviting her to a budget workshop on Aug. 14, 2023.
Lyke urged other citizens to attend and speak at Commissioners Court to express support for county agencies.
