Saratoga Springs city officials announced July 15 they will hold a public hearing and vote on a $15,000 capital budget amendment for the new Saratoga Springs bike park, and listed related procurement items for council action at the next meeting.
Mayor Seffert told the council the $15,000 capital amendment will cover additional needs at the new bike park; the mayor said the funding package will include a $5,000 donation from Saratoga Shredders and $10,000 transferred from subdivision recreation fees. The city scheduled a public hearing on the capital amendment for the following evening.
Finance staff also listed related budget items tied to the bike park: a resolution to use the subdivision recreation fund and a capital budget amendment vote. Public works and finance staff agreed to move the relevant finance items earlier on the agenda at the next meeting so that the mayor’s item can be considered together with required budget approvals.
In a separate procurement item to be considered, the council will vote on an agreement with AJ Sign Company to deliver and install a two-sided LED sign for the Bridal Veil ice rinks at a contract price of $55,880. The purchase was presented as an approved provider under the state contract (Sourcewell ID 30223).
No votes were taken July 15. Council members and staff emphasized that the public hearing and the agenda votes on the bike-park capital amendment and the AJ Sign Company contract will occur at the next council meeting.
