The Robertson Board of Health reviewed several Title 5 septic items during its July 8 meeting, including a failed Title 5 at 4 Pitcherville Road and a waiver inquiry for 6 Old Westminster Road.
Members said a Title 5 failure at 4 Pitcherville Road on June 10, 2025, prompted submission of engineering plans to replace the system and install a new leach field. The board and its sanitarium reviewer examined the plans and said the proposal called for removal of the old system and installation of a new tank and leach field; members described the work as substantial and indicated the plans appear to address the failure. The submitted water test for the property was described as excellent (no coliform or E. coli detected and metals below limits).
Separately, members discussed 6 Old Westminster Road, where a septic component sits closer than standard distance (an example measurement noted was 87 feet to a private water source) and a garbage grinder had been installed in a sink where disposers are generally not allowed; the board said it would check the Town records and system plan to confirm whether a waiver exists for reduced setback.
The board signed routine approval paperwork for an installer’s permit and for other items; no enforcement hearings or formal orders were initiated at the meeting.
