File item 34 confirmed two appointments at the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation: Gina Jones as director of the Division of Adult Institutions and Brian Phillips as associate director for Division III (Region 3). Grove noted both had started their careers as correctional officers and were approved by the Rules Committee. The secretary recorded Ayes 36, No 0 and the appointments were confirmed.
The Senate also moved the consent calendar. The roll call on item 151 (a block of bills and resolutions included on the consent calendar as read on the floor) was recorded as Ayes 37, No 0; the remaining consent items passed as announced on the floor.
