The money will be added to the jackpots to attract teams; Christie said organizers use town donations to boost prize amounts beyond entries. The event is scheduled for Aug. 23 at the K‑plex, with signups beginning around 11 a.m.
A board member moved to donate $2,500; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. The board recorded the motion as carried 5‑0.
Staff was directed to prepare payment and to coordinate logistics with event organizers.
