The permit covers use of about 1.071 acres in a rural (RU) zone for a camp that Maxwell said is “very seasonal” and that “80% of our business runs between March and June.” He told the commission Grand Classroom has brought groups to the Kanab area for “24 years” and the site would allow students to “see the night sky.”
