The Tulare County Planning Commission continued a public hearing July 9 on a proposed General Plan amendment, zone change and 25-lot tentative subdivision map (GPA 24-006 / PZC 24-010 / TSM 24002) after staff, the City of Visalia and many neighbors raised concerns.
Resource Management Agency planner Russell Kashiva told commissioners the project would change 31.5 acres from AE-20 (exclusive agricultural, 20-acre minimum) to RA-43 (rural residential, 43,000-square-foot minimum) and subdivide the parcel into 25 lots. He said parcels would range from about 1.05 acres to 1.86 acres and that on-site septic systems were proposed for each parcel.
