Doctor Bullock presented a proposal to set a strategic‑planning work session to review the Cambridge model and consider selecting the Cambridge group to conduct the district strategic plan.
Board member Jill moved to set the work session for Oct. 7 at 5:30 p.m. in the boardroom; Brett seconded. The board approved the motion 6‑0.
Why it matters: the work session will provide the board an overview of the consultant’s model, the level of commitment required, and an opportunity to ask questions before the board considers any contract or action at a subsequent meeting.
The board also discussed the Missouri School Boards Association (MSBA) annual conference in Kansas City and staff said Lisa would register board members who were available; several board members indicated willingness to attend.
At the end of the meeting, the board approved a motion to adjourn. The motion to adjourn was moved by Caitlin, seconded by Kenneth, and passed 6‑0.
Ending: Staff will present the Cambridge overview at the Oct. 7 work session and, if the board chooses to proceed, may return with cost estimates and an action item at a future meeting.
