Fremont County appoints Brian Welding to Weed Advisory Board through 2027

Planning staff said the advisory board advises the county weed director about noxious weed identification and treatment priorities. Welding completed the county’s volunteer application and staff recommended his appointment, noting Welding’s background in noxious-weed identification and control and that he works for the City of Cañon City.
The board approved the appointment by motion and unanimous roll call. Commissioners welcomed Welding and said his experience will be an asset to county weed management efforts.
