The Bangor City Finance Committee removed a naloxone bid from its agenda after staff said the city had just received an allocation letter and must appropriate the funds before accepting an award.
Jennifer Gunderman, director of Bangor Public Health and Community Services, told the committee the allocation letter had just arrived and that “we know that we need to have the funds appropriated before we ask any have a order, in place for accepting the bid.” Gunderman asked that the item be struck from the agenda and said more information would follow.
The committee did not take any vote on procuring naloxone at the meeting; staff indicated the item would return only after appropriation of the allocated funds.
