Davis County Library system signs three-year $45,100 SMS contract addendum, affirms CIPA compliance for E-rate

Davis County library leaders asked the commission to approve two routine items on July 1: an annual Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) certification needed for E-rate funding and an addendum to the library's contract with Innovative Interfaces Inc. for Vega Interact SMS.
The addendum covers three years beginning July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028, for $45,100. Library staff noted the service will support automated text reminders and holds notifications and said the system could send up to roughly 23,000 messages per month under the contract limits discussed in the meeting.
Commissioners approved the CIPA certification and the contract addendum by voice vote.
