Staff member Philip Bowman said the application deadline is July 15 and that the city presented the project at a June 24 work session. He said the $25,000 local match would be added to the city's budget if the grant is awarded, and that the city would return with a grant agreement and follow-up items later in the year if successful.
Bowman said the TAP request would fund the design phase only. Construction would require a separate application for construction funding; staff anticipated that construction funding would likely be sought in a later WYDOT grant cycle (staff mentioned FY28 as a probable cycle) and that actual construction would most likely occur in 2028 given scheduling and funding timelines.
A motion to approve Resolution 2025-07 was moved by Council Member McGysick, seconded by Council Member Lang, and carried by voice vote.
