Planning commission recommends alternates for regional planning representation

The Washoe County Planning Commission voted July 1 to recommend an ordered list of alternates to represent the county on the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission when regular appointees are unavailable. The commission recommended Linda Kennedy as first alternate, Amy Owens as second, Jim Barnes as third and Kate Nelson as fourth. Commissioner Dan Lazarecki moved the recommendation and Commissioner Kate Nelson seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Staff described the process by which the list will be transmitted: the planning commission directs the planning commission secretary to forward the recommended ordered list of alternates to the Washoe County Board of Commissioners for final approval, and thereafter the county will transmit the ordered list to the executive director of the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Agency.
Commissioners Michael Flick, Dan Lazarecki, Rob Pierce and others participated in the vote. No public comment was recorded on the item.
