County library staff report 120 children attended June County Camp funded by grants and volunteers

Lisa Riesenberg of West Bend updated the board on the county library’s County Camp held June 13 at the County Nature Center. The program hosted roughly 120 children in kindergarten through fifth grade and included STEM activities, nature hikes, games and a finale program on the five senses.
Riesenberg said the event was funded entirely with grant dollars and volunteer hours; no county general fund dollars were used. The Nature Center and local volunteers provided space and programming, the Algona School District donated bus transportation, and local businesses donated water and cookies for lunch. Supervisors acknowledged the report and thanked staff and volunteers.
