State reminds LEAs to update school calendars and notes Cactus downtime, license renewal deadline

Aaron Brough explained how districts and charter schools can edit calendar entries in the data gateway under LEA tools → Calendar and encouraged LEAs to save and double‑check entries because the communications office will convert calendar submissions into a two‑page PDF for public posting.
Kristen Campbell announced that the Cactus licensing system will be taken offline Monday, June 30, for maintenance and expected to return July 11. She advised educators whose professional licenses expire June 30 to renew before the outage, noting the system will be unavailable during the maintenance window. Campbell also said the new core code list and future qualification reports will be posted in late July and reminded LEAs that name changes to schools are processed only on July 1.
Campbell closed by urging LEAs to contact data and statistics if they did not receive courtesy review letters or if they have questions about role assignments, and to notify the state of any planned facility openings, closings or school name changes as soon as possible.
