The McCall City Council adopted Resolution 25‑15 to adjust Lakeshore Disposal rates effective July 1, 2025. Terry Stewart, representing Lakeshore Disposal, asked the council for an annual CPI‑based increase and explained the company’s need to maintain competitive wages and cover growth in service demand.
“It's a little bit above what the actual CPI is right now, but I think the council would agree with me with the growth we're experiencing…the biggest thing is we try to keep our wages competitive,” Stewart said, citing driver retention as a safety and reliability priority.
Council members said the proposed 3.5% increase appeared reasonable. Staff and the applicant said the most common service level would see roughly a $0.72 per month increase under the proposal. After brief discussion a motion to adopt the resolution and authorize the mayor to sign necessary documents carried on a roll call vote.
The resolution updates franchise/service rates charged by Lakeshore Disposal to customers in McCall; the new rates take effect July 1, 2025.
