The Polk County Extension Service District board of directors unanimously adopted Resolution 25-01 to approve the recommended budget and levy taxes for fiscal year 2526.
Mr. Hansen, a district staff member, presented the resolution and told the board that the budget before them was the same as the one previously proposed and approved, with "no changes." He said that the tax rate to be levied, if adopted, would be "0.077 and a half cents per thousand" and described that rate as the limit of the district's permanent rate. He also noted the district has taken the maximum permanent rate in prior years except for one year when it was lowered by one cent.
Director (mover) moved to adopt the budget for the Polk County Extension Service District for fiscal year 2526 and to adopt Resolution 25-01. Director (seconder) seconded the motion. The board approved the motion by voice vote; the resolution passed unanimously.
No members of the public spoke during the budget item, and board members did not request amendments. The board then asked whether there was any other business before adjourning.
