The Polk County Extension Service District board of directors voted unanimously to approve purchase of annual liability and property insurance for fiscal year 2526 through CIS.
Mr. Hansen, a district staff member, told the board that the insurance premium "has dropped $10 from last year" and that the district has historically paid between $1,400 and $1,500 for the coverage. He said the district was allowed to use CIS because the board is the same as the county commissioners, avoiding separate special districts insurance with a different carrier.
Director (mover) moved to approve the purchase of liability and property insurance for fiscal year 2526 "as presented." Director (seconder) seconded the motion. The board signified its approval by voice vote; the motion passed unanimously.
Board members did not request further discussion during the item and no members of the public spoke during the insurance item.
The board moved on after the vote to the scheduled budget resolution item.
