Huber Heights Military and Veterans Commission swears in new member; approves prior meeting minutes

The Huber Heights Military and Veterans Commission on June 25 administered the oath of office to Kevin Lyle White and approved the minutes of its prior meeting, the commission said.

White took an oath to “support the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the State of Ohio and the city charter,” after which commissioners and attendees welcomed him to the panel. White told commissioners he served in the Air National Guard, worked on aircraft and avionics, and recently retired from duties at Wright-Patterson; he said he volunteers at the Air Force museum and runs a small publishing business.

The commission handled routine business before the swearing-in. A motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting was made and seconded; the body approved the minutes by voice vote. No roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.

White’s oath and the minutes approval were the primary formal actions at the meeting; commissioners closed with a brief benediction and adjourned.
