Board approves employment recommendations and moves into closed session for superintendent evaluation
Summary
The Beloit School District Board approved the June 24 employment recommendations (Exhibit A) unanimously and then voted to convene a closed session under Wisconsin Statute §19.85(1)(c) to conduct the superintendent evaluation.
The Beloit School District Board of Education approved the personnel recommendations listed in Exhibit A and then voted unanimously to go into closed session to conduct the superintendent’s evaluation under state law.
Board chair Joanne Ruhl called for a motion to approve the employment recommendations listed as Exhibit A. A motion was made and seconded; the board voted “Aye” and the motion carried unanimously.
Later in the meeting the board moved to convene a closed session “pursuant to section 19.85, paragraph 1, paragraph (c), of the Wisconsin State Statutes relative to employment promotion evaluation items.” The motion to enter closed session was made by Joanne Ruhl and seconded by Tom Hankins. The board took a roll call vote and the motion carried unanimously.
The board announced the closed session topic as the superintendent evaluation. No actions from the closed session were recorded in the open minutes at the time the meeting adjourned.
