Boyle County Fiscal Court approves budget ordinance, personnel ordinance, fleet agreement and multiple appointments

The Boyle County Fiscal Court on June 24 approved a package of ordinances, spending transfers, vendor authorizations and appointments as it closed the fiscal year.

The court approved the second reading of the county budget ordinance for fiscal 2025–26, a personnel and wage-step ordinance, a list of vendors for electronic funds transfer payments, and an enterprise fleet management agreement. The court also approved several appointments, reappointments and a series of budget and cash transfers before adjourning to and returning from an executive session.

Why it matters: The budget ordinance sets county spending authority for the coming fiscal year. The personnel ordinance formalizes wage-step policy changes for county employees, and the fleet agreement will change how the county acquires and maintains vehicles. Several of the transfers and approvals finalize year-end accounting and allow departments — including EMS and public works — to complete purchases and projects.
