Leland council adopts CAMA land-use addendum to Leland 2045; plan sent to state for certification

The Leland Town Council on June 19 adopted ordinance ORD-25-006, the CAMA (Coastal Area Management Act) Land Use Addendum to the town27s Leland 2045 comprehensive land use plan.
Town community development planner Kate Fursinger presented the addendum at a public hearing, explaining that CAMA requires the town to submit certain coastal policies to the state Division of Coastal Management for certification when development occurs in areas of environmental concern.
