Centennial names Christina Anderson principal of Pleasant Valley Elementary, effective July 1

Superintendent Owens introduced Christina Anderson as the Centennial School District'selected principal of Pleasant Valley Elementary, effective July 1.

Superintendent Owens said Anderson brings “a wealth of experience in instructional leadership, school improvement, and fostering inclusive learning environments,” noting she has led Clackamas River Elementary in the Estacada School District since 2020 and previously served as an assistant principal at Oliver Elementary in Centennial School District.

According to the superintendent, Anderson has over two decades of experience in education, including roles as classroom teacher, behavior interventionist, TOSA and instructional coach. The presentation listed academic credentials of a bachelor's degree in human development and family science from Oregon State University and a master's degree in education and administrative licensure from Portland State University.

Christina Anderson briefly addressed the board and thanked members for the welcome, saying she was “really excited for July to roll around so we can get started on what we're gonna accomplish in the next school year.” Superintendent Owens also said Anderson had been working with current principal Holland Robbie and Pleasant Valley staff to ensure a smooth transition.
