Council fills multiple boards and planning seats after paper-ballot votes; Planning & Zoning required multiple rounds

Bullhead City — The Bullhead City Council on June 17 appointed citizens to several advisory boards and commissions, including three seats on the Planning and Zoning Commission that required multiple rounds of paper-ballot voting.
Board of Adjustment: The council appointed Kenya Cribb, Kristi Fouts (incumbent) and Shannon Henry to two-year terms beginning July 1, 2025. Staff noted three applicants for three vacancies; the council approved the recommended motions and the appointments carried without objection.
Building Board of Appeals: Don (Dawn) Albers and Amy Prince were reappointed to the Building Board of Appeals to full terms beginning July 1, 2025 and expiring June 30, 2027. Prince notified staff she could not attend but requested reappointment by email; both serve on the board currently.
Parks and Recreation Commission: Kenya Cribb and Randolph Sierra were appointed to two-year terms beginning July 1, 2025 and expiring June 30, 2027.
Planning and Zoning Commission: Four candidates sought three seats: Bart Anderson, Paul Bartha, Stephen Brown and Mel Stein. The council used paper ballots. After the first round Stephen Brown received six votes and Bart Anderson and Paul Bartha received four votes each; Mel Stein received four. The council held additional rounds; the final majority winners were Bart Anderson, Stephen Brown and Paul Bartha. The council then voted to appoint the three by motion; the motion carried 6-0.
Council members thanked volunteers for applying and noted the time and effort required for commission service.
Votes and formal action: Each appointment was made by motion and carried; all reported appointments carried by unanimous council votes on the motions presented.
