The Revere City License Commission approved the transfer of a malt and wine restaurant license and the change of license category to all alcohol for Linen Bend Inc., d/b/a Jade Asian Restaurant, at 339 Squire Road, Unit 120.
The approved license will be exercised Sunday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., with seating capped at 99 and entertainment limited to background music and television. Attorney Russell Chin appeared for the applicants and introduced Shu Shu Yu Lam as the proposed liquor license manager; Chin said Lam has three years of experience working as a bartender and manager and that her TIPS or responsible‑service certification was included in the application materials.
Commissioners asked about the nature of entertainment and whether prerecorded background music was intended; the applicants confirmed background music and television. No members of the public spoke in opposition. A commissioner moved to approve the transfer and category change and another commissioner seconded; the commission approved the application.
