The Revere City License Commission approved 12 one‑day malt licenses for McClellan Highway Development Corporation to host beer pop‑ups at 10 Suffolk Downs Boulevard on Thursday evenings this summer and early fall.
The licenses permit service from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on a sequence of 12 Thursdays starting in July 2025; the commission listed dates covering July, August and September. The applicants estimated about 200 people per event.
Rachel Otley, identified as the site activation and event manager for McClellan Highway Development Corporation, described Thursday nights at the Suffolk Downs yard as a newly launched program featuring live music, bingo, dance lessons and “yappy hours.” She said Twisted Fate Brewing will be the exclusive retail beer tenant for the pop‑ups and that the tenant will be responsible for ID checks and controlling alcohol service in a confined area; two owners of the brewery will pour at events.
Otley said the events will include at least one food truck per night when possible and that a third‑party consultant, Wicked Fund Consulting, will manage site activation and scheduling. Commissioners asked routine operational questions; no members of the public objected. A commissioner moved to approve the 12 one‑day licenses and another commissioner seconded; the commission approved the application.
