Daggett County Municipal Building Authority approves $9,507 invoice register to pay electric crew, title fee

The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority on Wednesday, June 18, approved an open invoice register totaling $9,507 to pay Bridger Valley Electric and Sunrise Title Company, clearing the way to schedule a power-pole move needed to begin construction of a new clinic and to cover title-recording fees tied to the water-treatment project.

The invoice register read at the special meeting listed invoice no. 1490 to Bridger Valley Electric for $8,496 and an invoice to Sunrise Title Company for $1,011, for a total of $9,507. Lorinda, a staff member who presented the register, told the authority the payments would come from the MBA capital outlay account and that the expenses are reimbursable from CIB funds. "That is correct," a staff member confirmed when asked whether the project funds came from CIB.

Meeting participants discussed project coding to ensure each invoice is charged to the correct project. Virenda, who asked whether the Sunrise Title Company charge was for the clinic or the water-treatment plant, was later told by Jesse, who retrieved the invoice, that the Sunrise item was dated May 27 and listed "leasehold loan, e-recording fees" for the water-treatment plant. Board members asked staff to ensure the invoice is coded on the project ledger so reimbursements are applied correctly.

A motion to approve the open invoice register as stated was made and seconded; the authority then voted in favor. The chair called for the vote, members said "Aye," and the motion carried. The register now is approved for payment so Bridger Valley Electric may be scheduled to move the pole and the title fee can be processed for the water-treatment project.

There were no additional agenda items discussed before the meeting was adjourned by acclamation.
