At its June 13 meeting the Board of State Prison Commissioners approved two formal items by voice vote.

The board voted to accept and approve the minutes from the March 26, 2025 meeting. A motion to approve the minutes was made and the board chair called for those in favor; members responded "aye" and the motion passed.

The board also considered Administrative Regulation 5.21, "Custody Categories and Criteria," which the department presented with two changes: the regulation would formalize the department's existing "high risk potential" (HRP) classification by defining criteria and procedures for placement and removal, and it would remove an unused term, "high minimum security." A motion to approve the changes to 5.21 (separately identified as 5.21(a) and 5.21(b) in the meeting) was made and passed by voice vote.

No recorded roll-call tallies were taken during the public votes; board members indicated approval by saying "aye." The board took no other formal actions during the votes recorded on the agenda.
