Council approves $19,654.92 amendment to TransSystems engineering agreement for Founders Parkway project; Sunflower Lane confirmed not connecting

The Andover City Council on Jan. 28 approved Amendment No. 1 to the TransSystems engineering agreement for the Founders Parkway project, authorizing additional services in the amount of $19,654.92.
Staff said the amendment covers additional survey work for an Enterprise Bank property acquisition, tie-in survey work related to the Heritage development and preparation of a traffic signal warrant analysis at the intersection with Andover Road. Jolene, the staff presenter for the item, said the signal analysis was prepared by Les Mangus.
Councilor John Lafine had asked earlier in the meeting whether Sunflower Lane would be connected to the Founders Parkway expansion; staff replied that the street would not be connected. "We are well aware that that is not going to be a connected street," a staff speaker said during the item discussion.
Council approved the amendment unanimously, recorded as 5-0.
