County opens mowing and dust-control bids; public works reports road repairs

Public works reported they removed spreaders and plows, serviced graders and replaced guardrail on Snyder Bridge after related repairs. Staff also said a small fire occurred over the weekend inside a container at the Lacine compactor site; the operator extinguished the fire and emergency services responded. Staff said the compactor site operations were not impaired and that repairs and lease-purchase questions remain under review to ensure compliance with county purchasing policy.
No bid awards were made at the meeting; staff will return with a comparative recommendation after verifying bid compliance with contract maps and scope.
