The plans are designed as the second major implementation step of the city—s comprehensive planning process, staff said. Kathy Cornett, head of the long-range planning division, said the community area plans apply the goals of the Comprehensive Plan at a neighborhood level, summarize community profiles, identify priority needs and goals, and provide a consistent set of considerations for rezoning and other land-use decisions.
