Board ranks top three architecture firms, authorizes administration to begin contract negotiations

After reviewing 16 RFQ submissions and presentations from three finalists, the board approved a recommended ranking of architecture firms and authorized administration to negotiate contracts in ranked order.
The Minooka CCSD 201 Board of Education approved administration’s recommended ranking of the top three architecture firms and authorized staff to begin contract negotiations in that order.
Administration reported it received 16 submissions in response to a request for qualifications for comprehensive architectural services. Three firms were invited to present to the district’s search committee; after presentations and reference checks administration recommended the following ranking: No. 1 Archon Associates Inc.; No. 2 DLA Architects; No. 3 Green Associates.
An administrator thanked Vice President Schamburg for serving on the selection committee and said committee members were impressed with the firms’ interest in the district and their work samples. The board approved the ranking and authorized administration to begin contract negotiations, proceeding to the next firm on the list if negotiations with a higher‑ranked firm do not result in an executed contract.
The motion carried on a roll call vote with five ayes.
