Board approves consent items; staff reports note bids, playground slide and insurance increase

The Weston County School District board approved the consent agenda on March 12 and later moved into an executive session under Wyoming statute 16-4-405(9) to consider confidential matters. In a finance-related update, Angie told trustees that “our insurance is going up 9%, which will be a hundred and $161,426.79 will be the added cost,” and described the district's reserve strategy and discussions with the insurance provider. Trustees noted that health and other operating costs are increasing and that the budget will require attention as legislative sessions and enrollment changes unfold.
