Survey shows district gains on some SEL measures but large disparities by race and grade level, board told

Assistant Superintendent Autry Streak and social-emotional learning coordinator Rosario (Rosie) Arcona presented results from two student surveys administered in November: the CalHOPE student SEL survey and the district’s Strategic Plan student survey. The presenters said both instruments measure school climate, student supports and related dimensions and that results were disaggregated by grade span and race/ethnicity.
