The nominations were presented by county executive liaisons and staff and heard individually. Jason Papadopoulos was presented as the county executive's nominee to the Board of Ethics; Deborah K. Mims was presented for the Cannabis Reinvestment and Restoration Board; and eight nominees — Karen Gillison, Shonda Harmon, Erica Jenkins, Sylvia Johnson, Erin Caba, Joseph S. Reed (reappointment), Erica Jenkins (note: promoted to VP General Counsel per her statement), and Kayon Williams — were presented for the Human Rights Commission (multiple nominees were reappointments). The committee chair called for questions, received brief remarks of support, and then voted to move each set of nominations favorably to the full council.
