Rome board approves six resolutions including property sale and $22,500 settlement

The City of Rome Board of Investment and Contracts on Feb. 27, 2025, approved six resolutions during a short session that began at 3:05 p.m. Mayor Landrigan presided.
The board carried three separate year-end budget transfer resolutions and approved a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter into a rehabilitation agreement and to sell a city-owned parcel at 736 West Liberty Street for $50,000. Members also approved a $22,500 settlement of a claim by Steven J. Parsons and a resolution authorizing the mayor to accept roadways and lands from Griffith Local Development Corporation into the city.
The actions were moved and seconded and recorded by voice vote; the record shows each resolution was carried. The meeting included a roll call confirming Mayor Landrigan, John Nash, Gerard Feeney, Joe Giuliano and Brian Adams were present.
