The Coconino County Planning and Zoning Commission on Feb. 26 approved the January minutes and took final action on two conditional‑use permits: CUP 24028, allowing an RV to be used as a permanent residence, and CUP 25‑001, permitting an 8‑by‑40 metal storage container in the Garland Prairie area. All motions carried unanimously.
The commission approved the January minutes on a motion by Commissioner Tohi, seconded by Commissioner Ruggles. The vote was recorded as aye from Commissioners Ruggles, Tohi, Berger, Vest, Best, Hayward and Chair Burton.
On CUP 24028, staff recommended approval and no public comment was offered at the hearing. Commissioner Vest moved to approve the case; Commissioner Ruggles seconded. Roll call recorded unanimous support (Ruggles, Tohi, Berger, Vest, Best, Hayward, Burton).
On CUP 25‑001, the conditional use permit for an 8‑by‑40 metal storage container in the Garland Prairie area, staff likewise recommended approval and no member of the public addressed the commission. Commissioner Best moved to approve; Commissioner Hayward seconded. The motion passed on a unanimous roll‑call vote (Ruggles, Tohi, Berger, Vest, Best, Hayward, Burton).
Each of the two land‑use permits was considered on the basis of the staff reports published with the agenda; no additional conditions or amendments were recorded in the meeting minutes. The commission closed the hearing and adjourned at approximately 5:37 p.m.
