Plan Commission approves conditional use permit for Bouchers U Drive It Now at 1531 E. Moreland Blvd.; one member opposes

The Waukesha City Plan Commission on Feb. 26 approved a conditional use permit allowing Bouchers U Drive It Now to operate an auto-sales office at 1531 East Moreland Boulevard, subject to staff-recommended conditions and a commission amendment allowing dealership staff to park vehicles overnight directly in front of overhead garage doors.

The commission's decision follows a staff presentation noting the sites prior uses (Pick nd Save grocery, later a body shop), a temporary occupancy permit granted after inspections, and observed violations during an inspection that found inventory vehicles parked in customer spaces and on a pedestrian walkway. "They have removed the inventory vehicles from the customer parking spaces," said Charlie, community development staff, summarizing inspections and recommended conditions.
