The Tulsa Public Works Committee met at 2:30 p.m. and heard from Jordan Rodick, the mayor’s nominee to fill a vacancy on the Tulsa Stadium Trust created by the departure of William Phoebe. Rodick’s term is listed as expiring March 5, 2028, and the council is scheduled to vote on the appointment at its March 5 meeting.
Rodick, who said he is a Tulsa native and holds a civil engineering degree from Oklahoma State University, told committee members he works for Wallace Design Collective (formerly Wallace Engineering) and has been involved in “many of the projects, downtown and in the neighborhood” since 2008. “It seems like a good fit. It’s something that I’m very interested with it being right next door to our office,” Rodick said.
The committee chair noted the nomination will be considered by the full council on March 5 and invited Rodick to attend but said attendance was not required. No formal vote or motion was taken at the committee meeting; members confined the item to the nomination and introductory remarks.
The committee packet lists the vacancy as the reason for the nomination; no additional materials or reference to specific Trust responsibilities were presented during the committee discussion.
If approved by the full council on March 5, Rodick will replace William Phoebe on the Tulsa Stadium Trust for a term expiring March 5, 2028.
