The Gates County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday approved a set of budget amendments, a contract amendment with the county’s auditing firm, and several board appointments and policies, officials said.
The board approved multiple fiscal changes identified in its packet, listed as budget amendments F25-021, F25-022, F25-023, F25-024, F25-025, F25-029 and F25-030. The motions to approve were made and carried by voice/show-of-hands with no recorded opposition.
County Manager Scott Sauer and staff explained that one contract amendment with auditor Malden & Jenkins required a modest budget adjustment. Leanne Bagasala, a partner with the auditing firm, attended the meeting. Commissioners were told Robertson (county finance staff) had located internal offsets so staff could absorb the cost and send the packet to the Local Government Commission (LGC) in March and the board in April.
The board also approved the consent agenda at the start of the meeting.
