Hooksett council appoints Roger Duhaime to Tax Increment Finance committee through June 2027

The Hooksett Town Council on Feb. 26 nominated and appointed Roger Duhaime to serve as a council representative on the town’s Tax Increment Finance (TIF) committee, with a term ending June 2027.
Town Administrator Andre Garen noted that the town previously designated Councilor Jeff Nayan as a council representative but that Nayan’s membership had lapsed in June of the prior year; the council indicated Duhaime’s appointment is intended to re‑establish a council presence on the committee. Councilors confirmed that two council members may attend the TIF committee and that Nayan may continue to participate alongside Duhaime; the council clarified that the councilor representative to the water precinct is generally non‑voting while the TIF council representative is a voting member.
A motion to appoint Duhaime was made and seconded; the council approved the appointment by voice vote. The minutes record the affirmative ayes and a congratulatory exchange.
Duhaime accepted the appointment; the council asked staff to confirm any paperwork needed to formalize the appointment and to note the term end date of June 2027.
