Director: Rocking Horse subdivision extension likely not needed; final map to go to council

Planning staff reported during the Feb. 26 Planning Commission meeting that a previously requested extension for the Rocking Horse subdivision map appears unnecessary after a recent action extended the map’s validity until June 4, 2026.
Mr. Clark (Planning Department director) said the extension request had been brought to the Planning Commission on Nov. 6 and continued to March 12 to allow time for traffic evaluation. Clark said staff has learned that the map’s validity now runs through June 4, 2026, and that the final map is planned to go directly to the City Council within the next couple of months, meaning the Planning Commission’s extension would not be required.
No formal action was taken by the commission on this report; staff characterized the update as informational and said the applicant will proceed to Council.
