At the start of its Feb. 26 meeting the Monterey County Planning Commission elected Commissioner Gonzales as chair and Commissioner Getzelman as vice chair. The nominating committee moved the nominations; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
The nominations came after a roll call established a quorum. The commission then proceeded with its scheduled matters, including the Griffith final map amendment and a later public hearing on a self-storage project in Carmel Valley.
